Expensive U-Turn

If the combustion engine lobby succeeds in repealing the EU-wide ban on combustion engines decided for 2035, large quantities of expensive e-fuels will be needed to compensate for the additional CO2 emissions. As a result, fuel prices in Europe will rise. This will make owning a diesel or petrol car up to €285 more expensive on average per year.
